Chartered Organization

Each Scouts BSA Troop is sponsored by a civic, faith-based, or educational organization called a “chartered organization,” which operates Scouting units to deliver the programs to their youth members, as well as the community at large. As linked Troops, 506B and 506G are chartered by the same organization, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5895 in Pacific Beach.

In this capacity, VFW Post 5895 promotes a quality scouting program, approves our Troop Leadership, and provides facilities to meet and store our equipment. In turn, we support VFW Post 5895 by participating in service projects and other special events.
